The short answer
Wilmslow Tuition Centre began over ten years ago as one-to-one lessons in Andrea’s conservatory, after she returned to Cheshire from teaching biology and chemistry in leading London schools. Demand led to small groups, then to dedicated premises in Wilmslow.

How did it begin?
Wilmslow Tuition Centre began as a one-to-one tuition service in Andrea’s conservatory over ten years ago. Having taught biology and chemistry for many years in prestigious schools in London, she wanted to return home to Cheshire and start her own business.
Why small groups?
Due to demand, we expanded to running small groups. They were hugely popular with students, who benefitted from the structure of the lessons, the support, the learning scaffold and the time provided for independent question practice. Parents were also pleased that while the amount of time increased, we kept the fee low.
Students started to bring their friends, and a small community of dedicated teachers and hard-working students was formed. This is what we have today, in our own centre on Beech Lane.
